It’s that time of the month again, and there’s been a lot going on! While some events might be discouraging, I’m determined to stay positive, and my team and I are ready to push through.

First, Google made some significant changes that affected our website, and we were caught off guard when our traffic dropped. However, I see this as a chance to bounce back and come back even stronger. Setbacks can build character, and I’m eager to develop that character!

In response to the challenges, we’re working on rebuilding the website with more in-depth articles focused on the basics of finance. I’m calling this series “Finance Basics.” These articles will explain common financial concepts that you may have heard about but don’t fully understand.

Additionally, we’ve started covering news, but not just any news. We’re focusing on stories that truly matter to you, especially your finances and life. Unlike other sources, we aim to present news in a way that’s easy to understand. We skip the jargon and communicate in a straightforward manner, just like us regular folks!

Lastly, our social media accounts are starting to grow, and I hope that trend continues. It seems our new approach to videos is resonating with our audience, and I’m optimistic about that.

That’s the news with us here, so let’s proceed with our content.

Videos

We’ve decided to focus on creating short videos instead of longer ones. Our goal is to curate the best soundbites and concise clips that provide valuable information and a touch of entertainment for our viewers.

However, I’d like to share some of our recent long-form videos with you:

Blog Posts

Have you ever wanted to start investing but felt overwhelmed by online articles? It’s frustrating, right? You read these articles filled with terms like stocks, bonds, and securities, but they just confuse you. Many of these pieces are meant for beginners, yet they can be hard to understand.

Many of us on the team have experienced similar challenges. I remember struggling with this in college during a business course. That’s why we created the Finance Basics series. Our goal is to help and inform by simplifying finance topics for beginners or anyone looking to get started with their finance journey.

The same goes for news today. You often see two main problems: First, a lot of news is more opinion than fact—about 5% news and 95% opinion. We read the news to be informed, not influenced. Second, some news is written in a way that’s hard to understand, even when it’s important.

To fix these issues, we want to create news that is easy to read, factual, and free from too much opinion. I know this is a tough job, and while I’m not a journalist, I do know a lot about finance. So, I’ll explain the concepts, and the team will handle the fact-checking.

Anyway, let’s get to the posts!

TFMMT Team Corner

There has been a significant change in our team. Since we are focusing on short videos, Jonathan will be temporarily sidelined for now. Additionally, Orsa mentioned that she will be busy with her main job, so we will have to wait for her to return.

In the meantime, here’s the monthly update on what everyone has been up to. Let’s take a look!

“Google hit us hard. No one said it would be easy to be in the YMYL (Your Money, Your Life) niche. I’m confident we will regain our previous numbers; we just need to put in double the effort.”
